Handy kitchen tips

There’s nothing worse than making the effort to prep a week's worth of your fave soup, going to the fridge to find the top layer has formed a nasty, rubbery skin.

Good news is, this is very easy to avoid. Just whack a strip of baking paper on top of your refrigerated/frozen goods and it will stop the skin from forming.

This tip isn’t exclusively for soups. You can do the same thing for anything you’re planning on storing in the fridge or freezer aka pickled veg, ice cream, pesto, chutney, curry etc.
